On 30 April, the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency held the final conference of its project funded by the EEA Financial Mechanism with support from the Kingdom of Norway, the Principality of Liechtenstein and Iceland.<\/p>\n

A unique, interactive and public platform was presented that shows all exploration and exploitation areas of geothermal water for energy purposes, relevant well data and a map of the geothermal gradient. \u00a0https:\/\/gis.azu.hr\/portal\/apps\/experiencebuilder\/experience\/?id=a96dcbc6ea1047d2bf63c0af5b1af84d<\/a><\/p>\n

As Mr Marijan Krpan, Chairman of the Board of the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency, said in his speech at the presentation of the map at the Hotel International, the interactive map will provide a transparent way for all interested parties to see the geothermal potential of the Pannonian Basin in Croatia, from the Slovenian border to Vukovar, and will help create development and investment opportunities.<\/p>\n

The conference was also attended by representatives of the City of Sveta Nedelja, Ms Martina Fabijan<\/strong> and Mr Dalibor Jakopec<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The project ” Development of technical documentation for the use of geothermal energy” is funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 with national co-funding from the Republic of Croatia under the “Energy and Climate Change” Programme.<\/p>\n

Sustainable development and protection of the environment are the goals of the project – once the projects following the drilling of the well and the acquisition of the exploitation field are completed, CO2 emissions will be reduced and energy will be used that is independent of weather conditions and the price of energy sources.<\/p>\n
