On 15 November 2018, the town of Sveta Nedelja concluded a contract for construction of a recycling facility, whose implementation is financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund for the period 2014-2020. The contract was signed with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
The project implementation period is from 1 October 2018 to 15t November 2019.
The total project value is HRK 3,031.741.46, of which the eligible costs amount to HRK 2,920,616.46. The realized grant from the Cohesion Fund amounts to HRK 2,482,523.99, which is 85% of the costs. The remainder of the funds are provided from the budget of the town of Sveta Nedelja.
The location of the recycling yard is cadastral plot 2362/30, Cadastral Municipality Rakitje, the area of the town of Sveta Nedelja.
The opening of the recycling yard is expected to be in November 2019. The town of Sveta Nedelja will engage a concessionaire for the management of the recycling yard.
